It is a perfect opportunity to have a runout and a game on Sunday. Regular first team players can use this as a chance to keep fit and have a game. Fringe players can use it as a chance to impress and players coming back from injury as an opportunity to gain some fitness and match practise.

Friendly Game on Sunday

Newton United v Bailgate Athletic

Following on from what was said at training last night I have arranged a friendly away at Newton United. We played there in pre season and they comfortably beat us so revenge is required!!

They have just been on a similar unbeaten record to us having lost their first 5 games of the season and they are in Division 6 so it should be a good challenge. They had some very good players last time we played them.

I will use this game to give players on the fringes a game and to test a few players out so could you let me know if you are available to play.

There will definitely be no game on Sunday as Royal Mail Sports won't rearrange their game with us.

Our game on Sunday against Hykeham plough has been cancelled due to them having a cup game but we have asked Royal Mail Sports to rearrange their game against us which was due to be on a Wednesday night for this sunday so keep that in mind, I'll announce it as soon as I know anything.
