Pre Season Training and Games

for the forseeable future, pre season training will be on the following days:

Sunday 10.30am at the Memorial Hall (Home Ground)

Wednesday 6.30pm at the Memorial Hall (Home Ground)

all training sessions are £1 and funds will go towards paying for both pitches and new kits.

make sure everyone attends because fitness is crucial as pre season fixtures are being arranged as we speak!!!

As previously discussed on Sunday for those of you who attended, we will also be doing a midweek training session on Wednesdays at the home ground at 6.30, starting this week.

Training from now on is £1 as we need to raise funds for both the 1st and 2nd teams.

Remember, bring down your mates, we need a lot of new blood in this pre season with the reserves team startings up.

its very important that everyone who wants to play for Bailgate next season attends as we are late starting compared to other teams.

secondly, you may of heard the rumour that we have a Reserves team? well the rumour is true, so by coming to training we can get a good insight on who will play for who?

finally, bring down your mates, as we have a few players leaving and with a second team we need good numbers, hopefully everyone is ready to burn off all the junk food and beers consumed over the holidays and start working on another successfull season.

It's come to our final game of the season and the scenario is simple, if we win the game we win the league!! We need to be as professional and organised as we were on Wednesday evening. We have to show the same passion, desire and look to play our football again and show our quality in our side.

I will ask one last time if people can refrain from drinking on Saturday evening. This league title is there for the taking and if you do go out you will only regret it if you have thrown it away for 1 night out. Just think of the piss up you can have if we do win the league.

Well it's a massive game on Sunday, meet at the home ground at 10am!! Update of Bailgate News

Well firstly Training is on this Wednesday at the home ground meeting at 6:15pm and we will go on until it's dark. Let me know if your gonna be late, come along anyway.

If you want to be involved in the run in then it is essential you turn up for training as I will be using this for my selections for the remaining 3 games. In the last week we have had a terrible turn out at training!! Just as the season is at it's most important part!! We have only 3 games left so we need everyone pulling together to end this season with the silverware that is there for the taking!!!

Also our game against Monks Road will take place at home, on Wednesday 15th April, we need to have a good side out for this game so if this isn't suitable for you let me know ASAP.

Training and thoughts after Sunday

Well what a disappointment Sunday was! We just didn't turn up, the majority of us were all still in bed.

We have to ask ourselves if we actually wanna win this league??? I know it's only sunday league but the attitude that was shown on sunday was that we didn't care. The majority of us rolled up 25 minutes late. We hadn't got the nets up and It was a rush to get 11 players on the pitch in time for kick off. We then put in a performance of a team that weren't focused and didn't want it. You just have to look at Metheringham, they travelled alot further than us and they arrived all for 10am and were so organised in everything they did. We need to do the same for the final few games.

We have 3 games left and to be honest I want this league title. It would be such a disappointment to come this far and come away with nothing. We have such a good side and if we apply ourselves for the last few games then we can put all the pressure on to Bardney!!!

3 wins in 3 games is essential, that's all we can do and that is in our own hands! That would leave Bardney having to win all 8 games which is a big ask.

So all I'm asking for is everyone to pull together as a team, put one big final effort in and try to replicate our early season form as I don't feel apart from Rasen at home apart that we have performed in quite a while. I will be handing out £1 fines to anyone turning up late in future to avoid the embarrassment of Sunday again.

We don't have a game this sunday as Monks Road are in the cup. but we have Brown Cow at home on the 12th April and Evolution on the 19th April with the Monks road game still to be arranged and it will be a midweek game.

Come on boy's lets get the team spirit back and do the best we can to win this league.

Training will be on Wednesday 7:30-8:30 at the uni and We will have a training session on Sunday at our home ground 11am. I want as big a turn out as possible, let's show we want this boys.

Boys, after last Sunday it is vital we get back to winning ways against Sippers this weekend. We know from our previous game against them that it is going to be a battle, so we all have to be fired up for this from the first minute.

We are top of the league on merit, and if we are going to stay there we need to continue to show the same hard work and effort that we have up until this point. We beat Sippers last time and can beat them again, but we have to win our individual battles first.
