Pre- season Training

Training commences Wednesday 8th August 7.30pm til 8.30pm at the university ground, Tritton Rd and every week from this date onwards.

Also training will continue 10.30 - 12.00 every Sunday at our home ground, everyone & their mates welcome.

More friendlies are in the pipeline, but if you know of any clubs wanting a friendly fixture let either Paul, Nick or Andy know asap.

Under New Management

As most of you are aware by now, due to both family & work commitments I stepped down as manager of the club at the close of last season.

Those of you who made it to training last Sunday will now know that Paul Chambers has officially taken on the managerial post with immediate effect. While I do aim to offer the club as much help as I am able, I would like to take the opportunity to thank Paul for his commitment to the club and personally wish him every success in his new role as club manager.

Nick Jones will keep up his good work as club treasurer/special events organiser and Andy Parkinson will be handling the club secretarial duties.

I am sure you will all pull together and give Paul, Nick & Andy your full support for the coming season, commitment that both Paul and the club need to successfully continue the good, honest footballing reputation that Bailgate Athletic FC continues to maintain.

Best of luck for the new season & see you soon,

Ian

Meeting at ground at 10.00am please. Please let me know if your name features and you are unavailable for this fixture asap.

I will be taking your vote for 'Player of the Season' after the match.

Also, we will be taking down the goal posts for the close season after this match so please make yourselves available once changed to give a hand to dismantle the posts. This shouldn't be too big a job which I anticipate will only take about 20 mins after the match but the more hands the better.

From our league positioning now, you can all see that 3 points will help us secure some mid table respectability which I think we deserve given the performances & comittment we have all shown this season. Hartsholme are far from unbeatable so lets all pull together to end our season on a positive high note !! See you all sunday, Ian

Apologies to Danny Grice whose name should have appeared on the team sheet this week.

Next weeks fixture

There will be no game this coming weekend 18th March (mother's day for those of you who may need reminding) but fixtures resume the following week away to Hartsholme on the West Common.

Training as usual Wed. 7.30-8.30pm at the Uni.

Dan Hogg

As you may be aware Dan has transferred from the club to play his football for Inter FC who are currently riding high in the sixth Division. While a victim of our squad size and fully understanding that Dan simply wanted to play more football, it was indeed disappointing to see Dan go but I'm sure you will all join with me in wishing him all the best for his time at Inter, ian.
